Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha, Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik today launched the 'Ghare Ghare Sankha' programme on the occasion of birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik (also observed as Panchayati Raj Day) to seek public opinion for preparation of party's election manifesto.

The ceremony was held at Kantilo in Jatni area of Khordha district in the presence of several party leaders.

Announcing in this regard at a press conference here yesterday, BJD general secretary and spokesperson Arun Kumar Sahu said views of the public will be elicited before the preparation of the party’s manifesto on the eve of the upcoming general elections.

Members of the Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD) will visit the households and hand over printed forms to collect the views of the people over the government’s performance and their expectation from it if it comes to power in the fifth consecutive term, he said.

The form has been divided into three parts. The first part deals with the public opinion on the government’s performance. In the second part, people will give their opinion on what more they expect from the government if it comes back to power in the next term.

Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has written to all state-level office bearers, MPs, MLAs and senior leaders of the party to make 'Ghare Ghare Sankha' successful.
