BJD’s MLA candidate attacks BJP worker during polls in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Odisha MLA Susant Kumar Behera, who is the BJD candidate from Chhendipada for Assembly polls, allegedly attacked a BJP worker during polling in his constituency today.

While the polling in Sambalpur Parliamentary Constituency was continuing peacefully in 3rd phase of polls in Odisha, the BJD MLA violated the model code of conduct enforced by the Election Commission of India.

According to reports, Susant Behera made a violent attack on BJP worker namely Sidharth Shankar Sahoo at polling booth number 84 at Similisahi village in Koshala panchayat when the polling was underway after the latter protested booth rigging allegedly made by the MLA.

On the other hand, booth rigging allegations were reported from two booths — Booth No. 200 in Ramachandi and Booth No. 139 in Kadalibadi — in the Banki area under Cuttack Parliamentary Constituency.
