BJP announces candidate for Dhamnagar bypoll in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today announced Suryabanshi Suraj Sthitaprajna as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Dhamnagar bypoll in Odisha.

Suryabanshi Suraj Sthitaprajna is the son of former MLA Bishnu Charan Sethi.

Dhamnagar bypoll: BJP retains seat as Suryabanshi Suraj emerges victorious

The bye-election to Dhamnagar Assembly Constituency will be held on November 3 (Thursday). The counting of votes will take place on November 6 (Sunday).

The poll to Dhamnagar Assembly seat is necessitated following demise of Bishnu Sethi. The senior BJP leader passed away on September 19 while undergoing treatment at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
