BJP member among two killed in car-truck collision in Odisha
Sonepur: Collision between a car and a truck on NH-57 near Sialjuri in Odisha’s Sonepur killed two persons, including a State Executive Member of the BJP, and left three others critically injured late last night.
The victims were heading towards Bhubaneswar from Kantabanji in the car when the ill-fated vehicle collided head-on with a dumper truck around 1 am, killing the two on the spot, reports said.

The deceased have been identified as Rashtrapati Behera, the BJP member and former chairman of Bangamunda block in Balangir, and his associate.
Three other occupants of the car were grievously injured in the road mishap and hospitalised. Police have sent the bodies to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem and seized the truck.
