BJP resumes ‘Jan Kalyan Yatra’ from Odisha’s Pallahara

Odisha unit of BJP today resumed its Day-8 of ‘Jan Kalyan Yatra’ from Odisha’s Pallahara. Led by President Basanta Panda, hundreds of enthusiastic workers toured various villages and towns to garner public support before the upcoming panchayat polls.

The rally started with a press briefing by Panda in Pallahara on water and electricity issues. The leaders then visited Pallahara hospital where they expressed concern over non availability of doctors and basic infrastructure. They spoke to the patients and asked the hospital management to ensure facilitation of sanitation and drinking water facility on a priority basis.

Later in the day, the entourage visited Bamparada village in Deogarh where a public meeting was held. Panda addressed the party workers on various welfare programmes of Central Government and the failures of Odisha Government.

The yatra is intended at taking the messages of the BJP led Central Government to the public and highlight the misgovernance of the State Government in areas such as education, health, ration card distribution and job creation among others.

In the first phase, the yatra will cover 17 of BJP’s organisational districts in the state. It will culminate at Keonjhar on April 24.

The party will also launch a ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’ from April 14 that will continue till April 24.

Under the ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’, the saffron party will organise ‘Samajik Samarasata programme’ on April 14, 15 and 16. Besides, ‘Gram Kishan Sabha’ would be organised on April 17, 18, 19 and 20 and ‘Gram Sabha’ would be conducted on April 22, 23 and 24.

Further, an achievement rally would be held on May 26 to mark the completion of two years of BJP led NDA Government in the centre.
