Bhubaneswar: Aparajita Sarangi of BJP has won the Lok Sabha polls from prestigious Bhubaneswar seat in Odisha for the second time in a row.
Sarangi, a former IAS officer, has defeated BJD’s Manmath Routray by a margin of 35,152 votes.
Sarangi was polled 5,12,519 votes while Routray got 4,77,367 votes. Yashir Nawaj of Congress got the third position by securing 66,362 votes.
Sarangi had been elected to the Lok Sabha from Bhubaneswar for the first time in 2019. She had defeated BJD’s Arup Patnaik, a former Mumbai Police Commissioner, by around 23,000 votes.
