BJP’s poll campaign in Odisha intensifies: Jaishankar to visit state on May 4, Nadda on 5, Modi on 6

Bhubaneswar: As the first phase of elections in Odisha is set to be held on May 13, the BJP has intensified its poll campaigning in the state with top national leaders of the saffron party scheduled to visit the state during the next three days.

Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar will be on a two-day tour in Odisha starting May 4, said BJP leader Golak Mohapatra. Jaishankar’s itinerary includes meetings with intellectuals and media editors in Bhubaneswar on the first day, followed by similar events planned in Cuttack on the next day.

BJP National President JP Nadda is set to arrive in Odisha on May 5. He will hold meetings with party leaders in Bhubaneswar during his visit. Additionally, Nadda will visit Cuttack to discuss crucial strategies for the upcoming elections in Odisha with party workers and leaders, informed Mohapatra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 6 and address two public meetings. As per the schedule, Modi will attend a public meeting in Berhampur at around 10 am and another one in Nabarangpur at around 12:30 pm.

Worth mentioning, voting for four Lok Sabha constituencies (Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Berhampur) and 28 Assembly seats will take place on May 13 while May 11 is the last date for campaigning.
