Bhubaneswar: Pradeep Purohit of BJP has taken massive lead over his nearest rival Parinita Mishra of BJD in Bargarh Lok Sabha seat in Odisha.

As per the last report, Purohit is leading by over 1.53 lakh votes over Mishra.

Purohit has so far been polled 4,22,008 votes while Mishra got 2,68,947 votes. Congress nominee Sanjay Bhoi has been polled 58,317 votes.

The counting of votes is still underway.

All 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha went for polls in four phases on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.

Union Education Minister Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, former Union Ministers Jual Oram and Pratap Sarangi, Baijayanta Panda, Sambit Patra, Aparajita Sarangi and Bhartruhari Mahtab are some of the prominent candidates of BJP in Odisha.

Pranab Prakash Das, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik, Manmath Routray, Santrupt Misra and Pradeep Majhi are trying their luck on BJD tickets.

Former Union Minister Srikant Jena, veteran leader Ananta Sethi, Saptagiri Ulaka and actor Manoj Mishra are in the fray as Congress candidates.
