BMC, BDA offices to remain closed for public for 15 next days

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today restricted entry of public into its office and of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) as a precautionary measure in view of rise in  COVID-19 positive cases here in the recent past.

Speaking to mediapersons here, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhury said, “We have appealed to the citizens not to visit the BDA and BMC offices for next 15 days. They can avail  services of both through online at www.bhubaneswar.me. They can also dial Helpline-1929 for the same,” said .

Besides, strict enforcement of social distancing and wearing of masks will be ensured from today, he added.

Earlier on June 24, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange had announced that all Government offices  in the district will remain closed for citizens for 10 days. Besides, Jajpur administration yesterday restricted public entry to all Government offices in the district.
