BMC seals these markets in Bhubaneswar; declares new Containment Zone

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today sealed the entire Unit-4 market and markets in its adjacent areas until further orders to curb spread of Coronavirus.

The BMC took the decision after detection of several positive cases in the locality.

Meanwhile, the BMC declared the entire area of Sitapur Basti in Nayapalli here as Containment Zone after positives cases were reported from the area. The containment period with effect from today will remain in force till further order.

Yesterday, the Government announced a complete lockdown in four districts- Ganjam, Khordha, Cuttack and Jajpur and in Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) area considering that 66 per cent of the total COVID-19 cases in the state belong to these places.
