Under the watchful supervision of the Zonal Deputy Commissioner in each zone, along with the Assistant Commissioner, Ward Officers, Sanitary Inspectors, Swachh Sathi volunteers, Sanitation Supervisors and Anti-Larvae Workers, extensive monitoring was conducted throughout the wards. The dedicated team engaged with each household, delivering awareness messages and seeking permission to identify and address potential breeding sites.

Particular attention was given to the sensitive areas within each zone, and a comprehensive analysis was performed by sharing photos through the WhatsApp group. This ensured that every worker in each ward could focus on the designated tasks and maintain a heightened level of commitment.

Today, the BMC visited various locations, including flower pots, water containers, covers, drain holes, and other potential breeding grounds, where the team promptly eliminated mosquito breeding sites and sprayed anti-mosquito oil. Following the Commissioner's instructions, the anti-larvae workers diligently attended to every ward, taking necessary actions with the assistance of self-help groups (SHGs)and Corporators.

Furthermore, Zonal Deputy Commissioners, namely Ravi Narayana Jethi of Southwest Zone, Priyabrata Padhi of Southeast Zone, and Purandar Nanda of North Zone, personally visited parks and organisations to oversee the operations and provide guidance. Today's campaign yielded over 700 source reductions, showcasing the collective efforts towards combating dengue in the Capital City.

BMC appealed to every citizen to wholeheartedly embrace the Prevent Dengue drive. “By adopting simple yet effective measures, such as regularly checking and cleaning potential breeding sites and using mosquito repellents, together, we can safeguard our community from the dangers of dengue,” a spokesperson of the BMC expressed.
