Body found hanging in Odisha’s Bhadrak, murder suspected

Bhadrak: Body of a man was found hanging near a pond at Gopalpur village under Chandbali block of Odisha’s Bhadrak district today.

The deceased has been identified as Basanta Sahu. Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and registered an unnatural death case into the incident.

Sahu, who was residing and working in Jajpur, had come to his village a week ago. A land dispute was prevailing between Sahu and his brother, locals said.

Though the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he was murdered. On the other hand, Sahu’s brother said he went out of the house at 10 pm yesterday and his body was found hanging this morning.
