Body of a newborn found inside drain in Odisha

Rourkela, May 28:

Raghunathpalli police recovered the body of a newborn boy from inside a drain near Hanuman Vatika in Rourkela city in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today.

Following information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the newborn baby wrapped up with a saree from the drain.

We suspect the newborn baby, soon after the birth, has been thrown inside the drain. The body has been taken for post mortem”, said Raghunath Dora, IIC of Raghunathpalli police station, adding the police have started the investigation.
