Body of man found in river under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Nuapada

Komna: A middle-aged man was found dead while floating on the water under mysterious circumstances in Sundar river near Komna in Nuapada district, today.

The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Hadu Mirdha, who belonged to Mathura village.

According to Komna IIC Sumanta Nayak, the body was found by some locals. Later, they informed the police about it. A team of cops along with local fire services personnel reached the spot and fished out the man’s body from water. The body has been identified by the deceased’s family.

Komna police seized the body and sent it to a nearby hospital for post-mortem. Police have registered an unnatural death (U/d) case in this connection and launched a probe, which is underway.

“The exact reason behind the man’s death can be ascertained only after a post-mortem report comes in. We have handed over the body to the deceased’s family,” IIC Nayak expressed.
