Body of youth found from autorickshaw on RD Women’s University campus

Bhubaneswar: Body of a youth was found from an autorickshaw on campus of the Rama Devi Women’s University here today.

Police initiated probe to ascertain identity of the deceased person. The body has been sent to the Capital Hospital for post-mortem.

According to reports, students found the body in an autorickshaw stationed near an auditorium on premises of the state-run women’s university on Sunday. They immediately informed the matter to the university authorities as well as local police.

On receiving information, police reached the university and started investigation into the incident.

During investigation, the students denied to have seen any autorickshaw entering into the university campus.

However, the police traced the owner of autorickshaw from the number plate and questioned him into the matter. Meanwhile, the autorickshaw driver is stated not to have revealed anything to police.

While there was no sign of injury on body, police have started investigation into reason behind the death.

As the identity of the deceased person is yet unclear, it is now imperative for police to collect complete data about the deceased youth. Later, investigation will be conducted as to whether the deceased man had known the auto driver, source said.
