Body of youth recovered from drain in Odisha capital

Police recovered the body of a 35-year-old youth from a drain near Baramunda under Khandagiri police station limits in the Odisha capital this morning.

Following information by the locals, a team of Khandagiri police, fire brigade and ambulance rushed to the spot and brought out the body lying half submerged inside the drain with the face upside down.

“We have recovered a half-naked body of the youth whose identity is not yet known. We have registered an unnatural death (U/D) case and sent the body to the Capital Hospital for post mortem to ascertain the cause of the death,” said a senior official of Khandagiri police station.
