Cuttack: A body wrapped in a gunny bag has been recovered near Badakusunpur in Choudwar of Cuttack district today.

The locals spotted the gunny bag lying on a roadside around 20 km away from Choudwar police station in the morning. As a foul smell was emanating from the gunny bag, they informed the police.

On receiving information, the Choudwar police reached the site and found a body whose hands and legs were tied up.

Though the identity of the deceased is still obscure, the body has been sent to the SCB Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem, informed Choudwar Police Station IIC Biranchi Narayan Pati.

While the investigation into the incident is underway, police suspected it to be a murder.
