Bomb planted for poaching explodes in cow’s mouth in Odisha

Berhampur: In an unfortunate incident, a crude bomb that was planted for poaching wild boar exploded inside the mouth cavity of a cow at Kendupat village in Khallikote area of Odisha’s Ganjam district, today.

The animal sustained critical injuries in the explosion and was undergoing treatment. The explosive was kept at a farmland in the village. It went off while the cow was grazing and chewed it mistaking it for an edible, reports said.

A police complaint has been lodged in this connection. Cops have initiated investigation to ascertain those involved in planting the bomb.
