Bhubaneswar: Four unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at Baramunda locality on IPICOL road under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar, late last night.

The vehicle was partially damaged in the incident. However, no fatalities or injuries have been reported so far.

According to a private source, a black-colour SUV (registration number OD-02-CK-0183) was targeted and bombed. The bike-borne miscreants fled from the spot soon after committing the crime.

Exact reason behind the bombing has not been ascertained yet. However, it is being suspected that the bombing was a fallout of past rivalry.

A group clash had previously erupted between two factions nearly two months ago. The four miscreants belong to one of the rival groups, the source added.

On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the spot, seized the SUV and launched a probe.
