The incident occurred at around 10.05 pm night when students staying in the general hostel of the college rushed out of it after hearing a loud sound through their room windows.

“My hostel mates ran here and there after listening the loud sound outside our hostel. When we came, out we saw light smoke emanating from the boundary wall,” said a student staying in the hostel.

After getting information from the hostel authority, Badagada police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the case.

Police sources said it was the handiwork of some miscreants, who had used sutuli bomb (low intensity bomb). “A total 2-3 bombs have been hurled on the hostel boundary wall. They might have done it to stop election in the college,” the investigating officer in the case suspected.

No arrest have been done in this incident.
