Boulders fall on railway track in Odisha’s Koraput; Train services affected

Koraput: Train services were affected as boulders fell on railway track between Manabar and Jirati stations in Odisha’s Koraput district, today.

According to reports, the incident took place when work for doubling of the line was underway. Due to a landslide, the boulders and soil came crashing down on the track at around 3 am.

The mishap resulted in cancellation of several trains while Jagdalpur- Vishakhapatnam Express was halted at the Koraput Railway Station.

Efforts were on by Railway authorities to restore normalcy.

The following 10 trains underwent cancellation/ short termination/ short origination.
