BPSPA in Odisha Capital wins Union Home Minister’s trophy

New Delhi: The Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) located in Bhubaneswar won accolade from the Centre by winning the Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Best Police Training Institutions for the year 2020-21.

The BPSPA was adjudged the best Gazetted officers’ training institute across the country in the state/UT category.

The Non-gazetted officers’ (NGO) training institute award went to MSPWTC, Pune, Maharashtra and Others (ors) Constables’ training institute trophy was awarded to the Police training college, Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

The Biju Patnaik State Police Academy will receive grant-in-aid of Rs 20 lakh as the award from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Police officers from the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police to Additional Superintendent of Police including IPS probationers are being trained in this academy.
