Brahma Parivartan fiasco: SJTA serves notice to 9 servitors

Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today served a notice to nine servitors, including eight Daitapatis and a Maharana of Srimandir in connection with the delay in Brahma Parivartan rituals during Nabakalebara in 2015.

SJTA chief Pradipta Mohapatra served the notice to the 15 servitors asking them to reply within 15 days. In default, action would be taken against them as per Shree Jagannath Temple Act, 1955.

Earlier on on November 14,2018, the SJTA had served a notice to eight Sevayats and a senior Maharana in connection with the Brahma Parivartan fiasco.

Worth mentioning, the Brahma Parivartan rituals of the Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings was delayed during 2015 Nabakalebara following a clash among the servitors triggering huge outcry across the state.

Taking cognizance of the issue, the SJTA had initiated a probe into the matter.
