Brave Odisha woman fights off, overpowers two snatchers

Yet another woman has shown exemplary courage to fight off anti-socials on the prowl in Odisha capital.

The brave woman identified as Sulabha Panda took on the snatchers last night while she was on her way home in Nayapalli area here.

According to reports, Panda was returning back home at around 9 pm last night on an auto rickshaw when the looters struck. The criminals on a motorcycle tried to snatch her smartphone while the auto rickshaw was on motion.

In stead of giving in to fear, the woman swung into action and got hold of the pillion rider. She pulled him down and overpowered him. While his aide tried to fled from the scene, the anti-social was nabbed by the auto rickshaw driver.

Later, the duo was handed over to Nayapalli police.

Police arrested the looters last night and forwarded to court today.
