BREAKING: 3 more COVID-19 patients die in Odisha; toll rises to 17

Bhubaneswar: Three more COVID-19 patients died in Odisha in the last 24 hours.  While two succumbed to the deadly virus  while another died of other heath complications, said Health and Family Welfare Department.

All the deaths have been reported from Cuttack district.

The two patients, who succumbed to coronavirus are- a 71-year-old male, who was also suffering from infected diabetic foot, diabetes and chronic kidney disease and a 53-year-old male, who was also suffering from diabetes.

The other COVID-19 patient, who died of other health issues was a 80-year-old male. He died due to intestinal obstruction with sepsis and multi organ dysfunction syndrome.

With this, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Odisha rose to 17 and of other health complications mounted to 7.

Meanwhile, 167 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total count in the state to 5470, including 1583 active cases. However, 3863 patients have so far recovered in the state.
