BREAKING: 5 test COVID-19 positive in Odisha, tally at 108

Bhubaneswar: As many as five persons from Odisha’s Balasore district tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday taking the tally to 108, Health and Family Welfare Department sources said today.

The five have been identified as a 55-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman, a 23-year-old woman, a 29-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man of containment zone in the district. All of them had mild symptoms and were under home quarantine. Contact tracing and follow-up action is being done, sources said.

With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 72 while 35 patients have recovered so far. Number of active cases in Balasore district stood at 15, the department said.

A total of 2287 COVID-19 tests were done in the state yesterday, it added.
