Bhubaneswar: As many as six more COVID-19 patients died of the disease in Odisha, official sources said today.
While four of them died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment in hospital, two others succumbed due to cancer, sources added.
Those who died due to COVID-19 have been identified as a 70-year-old man of Ganjam who was also suffering from diabetes, a 48-year-old man of Cuttack district who was suffering from chronic liver disease and diabetes, a 60-year-old man of Ganjam who was also suffering from diabetes, and a 53-year-old man of Ganjam.
Those who died of cancer have been identified as an 80-year-old man of Cuttack district who was suffering from prostate cancer with metastasis, and a 45-year-old man of Mayurbhanj district who was suffering from cancer of the esophagus.
The state today also reported 571 new COVID cases as tally mounted to 10097.
