BREAKING: Date for Odisha Matric results announced

Bhubaneswar: Results of annual Matriculation Examination-2020, conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will be announced on July 29, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

Students will get their scores through two official websites of BSE and mobile SMS, said the Minister at a press meet here.  Declaration of the results got delayed this year due to cyclone Amphan and subsequent COVID-19  lockdown, he added.

Earlier, the Minister had announced that results of the exam conducted by the BSE will be declared by end of July.

Around 5.60 lakh students had appeared in the examination in 2,888 centres from February 19 to March 2 this year. Evaluation of the answer scripts was conducted for a day on March 19 and halted thereafter due to COVID-19 outbreak. The evaluation later resumed on May 26 after being postponed for several times due to cyclone Amphan. The evaluation was conducted in 60 centres across the state.
