Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered its highest spike in COVID-19 cases in a day as 20 more persons tested positive for the virus yesterday, official sources said today.
Out of the 20 fresh cases, 17 are from Ganjam and 3 from Mayurbhanj. With this, Mayurbhanj reported its maiden COVID-19 case. All of the 20 cases have been identified as Surat returnees, sources said.

Three positive cases confirmed in Mayurbhanj (Kaptipada Block).
All are Surat returnees.
All Male. Age - 21,36, and 44 years
All three had reached Kaptipada from Surat on 4th May and were kept in quarantine.
Contact tracing and follow-up action is being done.

As many as 3060 samples were tested yesterday in Odisha while 28 of those tested positive, sources added.
Number of active cases in the state stood at 142 while 61 patients have recovered so far.
