British Council to offer expertise in English skill education in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with British Council for strengthening cooperation in a number of fields ranging from education to investment promotion.

The MoU which was signed on the occasion of British Council completing 70 years of its presence in India aims to boost cooperation in a wide array of areas including English skill education, sports, cultural exchange and investment promotion.

The MoU was executed in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, British High Commissioner Sir Dominic Asquith, dignitaries from Commonwealth countries, officials of British Council and State government at the newly opened Kala Bhoomi here.

Patnaik wishing success to the initiative said: “I am happy that andoverarching MoU is being executed between the State government and British Council for cooperation and collaboration in a wide array of areas including education, skills and culture. I wish the partnership all success.”
