Brown sugar seized from minor boy in Puri Srimandir

Puri: The illegal trade of narcotic drugs continues unabated in Odisha involving minors in trafficking on the premises of the Jagannath Temple in Puri.

In a shocking incident, a minor boy was caught with brown sugar inside the 12th century temple today.

According to reports, a security personnel deployed at Srimandir spotted the minor boy opening the banned contraband from a container that he was carrying near Maa Bimala Temple situated inside the Jagannath Temple. The alert on-duty personnel examined the container and recovered brown sugar.

During interrogation, the minor boy revealed that he had been given the brown sugar for sale inside Srimandir.

The accused has been taken to Singhadwar Police Station to ascertain more information about the incident.
