Bhubaneswar: Excise officials today arrested an engineering student near Salia Sahi here after recovering 83 grams brown sugar from his possession.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials nabbed the youth identified as Pritish Patnaik and seized the narcotic items worth around Rs 8 lakh. The sleuths also seized a bike from his possession.

Earlier on January 25, Excise officials had arrested a BTech student of a city-based engineering college under Section 21 of NDPS Act after seizing 60 grams brown sugar from his possession in front of Big Bazaar near Patia Square here.
