BSF jawan flees quarantine centre in Odisha

Nabarangpur: A BSF jawan allegedly fled a quarantine centre/Temporary Medical Camp (TMC) in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district yesterday.

According to reports, the jawan, hailing from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, tested positive for COVID-19 on June 24 and was shifted to a COVID hospital. He recovered from the disease on June 30.

However, he was kept at the TMC after his recovery as a part of the precautionary measures. He allegedly escaped from the quarantine centre yesterday.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged by the BSF with Nabarangpur police. Till last reports came in, the jawan was yet to be traced by police.
