BSF Jawan injured in landmine blast in Odisha

Malkangiri: A Jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) suffered grievous injuries in a landmine explosion near Gobindapalli Ghati on Malkangiri-Jeypore road today.

The injured Jawan identified as Jagat Pal Singh was rushed to the Malkangiri district headquarters hospital (DHH) for treatment.

The incident took place at around 2 pm. Following the explosion, BSF Jawans launched a combing operation in the area.

Earlier on May 11, two Jawans of Special Operation Group (SOG) were injured after a landmine planted by Maoists exploded on Bogapadar hills under Mathili police limits in the district.
