BSKY comes to rescue of needy patient; Odisha-Mo Parivar provides assistance

Bhubaneswar: A 47-year-old woman resident of Marsaghai locality in Kendrapada got cured today from fatal injuries that she had sustained in a previous road mishap, owing to the assistance extended by a non-government organisation (NGO) named Odisha-Mo Parivar.

According to a spokesperson of the NGO, the needy patient Damayanti Samal was earlier working as a community resource person (CRP) under the government’s Mission Shakti programme. She was provided with an autorickshaw to pick up and drop off school students.

However, in the month of April, she met with an accident and was admitted to Government Hospital in Kendrapada for emergency care and was later shifted to a private hospital for further treatment.

The family of Damayanti had approached MLA Sabitri Agarwalla seeking help for the former’s treatment. The matter was intimated to Odisha-Mo Parivar through the MLA’s representative Sanjay Agarwalla and immediately necessary steps were taken to shift her to Bhubaneswar.

The critical patient received all requisite assistance throughout the course of her treatment under the BSKY scheme, where the NGO’s helpdesk associate Rashmi Ranjan Pradhan coordinated starting from the documentation process till her recovery and discharge.

A conveyance arrangement was also made for Damayanti’s return to her native place at Kendrapada. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the much-needed help during their difficult times.
