BSKY will continue in Odisha if BJP voted to power in state: Dharmendra Pradhan

Sambalpur: Implementation of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) will continue in Odisha if BJP is voted to power in the state, said party’s senior leader Dharmendra Pradhan at an event in Sambalpur on Tuesday.

Pradhan further said that apart from BSKY, Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme will also be implemented in Odisha.

The beneficiaries will get ‘double’ benefit from the two schemes, he added.

Notably, the BJP has fielded Pradhan as its candidate for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat.

Worth mentioning, the BJP has been accusing the ruling BJD of not allowing the implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha intentionally.

On the other hand, the BJD has been claiming that the BSKY is better than Ayushman Bharat in terms of health insurance coverage, for which it is not necessary in the state.
