Budget: Odisha's Paradip among 5 port cities to be developed as fishing harbours

New Delhi: Odisha's Paradip and four other port cities in the country will be developed as fishing harbours and fish landing centres, announced Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Budget-2021 today.

"I propose substantial investments in the development of modern fishing harbours and fish landing centres. Five major fishing harbours-- Kochi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Paradip, and Petuaghat-- will be developed as hubs for economic activities," the Finance Minister said.
