Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today effected a minor reshuffle in the OAS cadre in the state.
Keonjhar Sub-Collector Trilochan Mohanty, a senior OAS officer, has been transferred and posted as the Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The General Administration department issued a notification in this regard today.
Notably, Keonjhar is the home district of the Chief Minister.
Similarly, senior OAS officer Monaj Kumar Behera, who was working as the Land Officer in the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), has been deployed in the office of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida till further order, said another notification issued by the General Administration department.
This is the first bureaucratic reshuffle after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed government in Odisha by securing majority in the recently concluded Assembly polls in the state.
The BJP has won 78 Assembly seats of the total 147 in the state while the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) got 51 seats and Congress party 14 seats.
