Bhubaneswar: The state government has appointed senior bureaucrats as Additional Private Secretaries or OSDs to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and several other ministers in Odisha.

Satish Chandra Samal, who was working as the senior private secretary of Home Department cadre, has been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister with immediate effect, said the Home Department in an office order.

Sanjay Kumar Bariganjan, who was working as OSD to member State Planning Board, has been posted as OSD to Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo with immediate effect. The Deputy Chief Minister has been given the charge of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy departments.

Prakash Kumar Mohanty, who was earlier serving as principal private secretary of Home Department cadre, has been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, said the Home Department.

Similarly, Laximdhar Hota, who was earlier serving as senior private secretary of Home Department cadre, has been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to the Law, Works and Excise Minister, it added.

As per the office order, Nityananda Sahoo, who was earlier working as principal private secretary of Home Department cadre, has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to Rural Development and Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik.

Raj Raj Samantaray, who was serving as senior private secretary of Home Department cadre, has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to Forest, Environment & Climate Change and Labour & ESI Minister Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia with immediate effect, said the Home Department.

Besides, Mahendra Kumar Sahoo, who was earlier working as senior private secretary of Home Department cadre, will now serve as Additional Private Secretary to the Forest, Environment & Climate Change and Labour & ESI Minister, it added.

Sarada Kumar Rath, officer on special duty (OSD) of Home Department, has been appointed as OSD to Commerce & Transport and Steel & Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, said the office order issued by the Home Department.
