Bus fare hiked across all categories in Odisha; see here

Bhubaneswar: Bus fares in Odisha have been increased under the automatic mechanism following hike in fuel price. This was informed by All-Odisha Bus Owners’ Association (AOBOA) General Secretary Debendra Sahoo today.

Fares for ordinary and express buses were increased by four paise to 89 paise per km and 93 paise per km respectively. Passengers will have to pay 8 paise more to travel in deluxe and AC deluxe buses as the fares have been increased to 129 paise per km and 157 paise per km respectively.

Charges for travel in super premium buses were increased by 12 paise to 244 paise per km.

The new bus fares came into effect from today, Sahoo added.

Rates of diesel have crossed the Rs 100-a-litre mark in a couple of places in Odisha in recent past.
