Bhubaneswar: Bus fares across all categories in Odisha have been increased under the automatic mechanism following hike in fuel price.
A notification in this regard was issued by the State Transport Authority (STA)Odisha today.
Fares for ordinary and express buses have been increased by three paise to 92 paise and 96 paise per km, respectively. Besides, passengers will have to pay six paise more to travel in deluxe and AC deluxe buses as the fares have been increased to 135 paise and 163 paise per km, respectively.
For super premium buses, the charges have been increased by 12 paise to 253 paise per km.
The revised fares came into effect from today.
