Bus fares remain unchanged in Odisha, here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Amid speculations of an increase in bus fare in Odisha, the State government today clarified fare for bus travel has not been revised and it remains unchanged. The last time when the State government revised bus fare was on March 21, 2020.

Couple of days back, the State government had asked private bus operators to ply buses with 50 per cent passenger capacity in accordance with the social distancing norm while allowing them to charge twice the normal fares.

However, today the State Transport Authority, Odisha cleared the air and said the fare revised on March 21 still remains in force.
