Bus owner fined Rs 5.81 lakh, vehicle seized in Odisha capital
Bhubaneswar: A hefty fine of Rs 5.81 lakh was today imposed on a bus owner as the vehicle was seized in Odisha capital for violation of norms and non-payment of MV tax.
According to reports, the bus bearing registration number OD10F0409 plying from Koraput to Bhubaneswar was detained by the enforcement wing of RTO, Bhubaneswar-II at Khandagiri here this morning.

The vehicle owned by Sneharekha Padhy of Pujariput in Koraput lacked stage carriage permit and fitness certificate. This apart, MV tax of the bus from May, 2019 to October, 2020 amounting to Rs 5,66,981 was not paid.
The challan of Rs 5,81,981 has been issued against the vehicle owner while the bus was seized by RTO officials.
