Bus rams into tree in Odisha Capital; 6 injured

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons were injured after a bus en-route to Bhubaneswar from Puri hit a tree on roadside near Kalpana Square here today. All the injured have been admitted to Capital hospital here for treatment.

Sources said the bus carrying over 30 passengers lost control due to break failure and hit the tree near the State Museum. Fire brigade staff rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers.

The passengers were returning from Puri this morning after witnessing ‘Suna Besha’ of the Trinity last.

Meanwhile, the driver of the bus is reported to have absconded after the incident.
