Nabarangpur: A businessman was allegedly robbed off Rs 6.5 lakh by two bike-borne miscreants in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today afternoon.

While the businessman, Ramesh Parek from Jagdalpur of Chhattisgarh was going towards bus stand on a two-wheeler after collecting money from other businessmen, he received a call on his mobile phone at around 2:30 PM. He parked his two-wheeler on roadside to receive the call during which the bike-borne miscreants came from behind.

Before Parek could comprehend anything, the two miscreants snatched the bag containing Rs 6.5 lakh and went towards the bus stand.

The businessman lodged a written complaint at Nabarangpur police station, following which the police launched an investigation.
