Cabinet Committee on Investment reviews Odisha projects 

Bhubaneswar, March 10:

A cabinet committee here on Friday reviewed 28 projects in various sectors in Odisha to expedite their implementation.

Cabinet Committee on Investment (CCI) Project Monitoring Group meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi set a timeline for completion of the projects.

Subha Kumari, Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office and Director in the Prime Minister’s Office S.D. Sharma joined the meeting for expeditious implementation of various investment projects.

They reviewed the progress of the ongoing mega projects that include railways, national highways, coal and power sectors.

“We reviewed 28 projects relating to railways, national highways and coal mine projects. The implementation issues raised by project developers were discussed and resolved,” said Padhi.

The issues relating to rehabilitation, disbursement of compensation, shifting of utilities, compliance with forest diversion proposals, forest clearance, evacuation of encroachment from acquired land, DGPS survey, and compensatory afforestation were discussed, said the Chief Secretary. (IANS)
