Cabinet okays housing project in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) has decided to implement a housing project at Gadakana in the capital city here.

The state Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved tender for the housing project.

Shree Balaji Engicons Limited, the lowest bidder, was awarded the tender. The housing project will be implemented at an expenditure of Rs 134.85 crore, said Chief Secretary PK Jena while briefing the media soon after the Cabinet meeting.

The housing project at Gadakana Mouza in the capital city here will have 351 housing units. The project will be implemented within a period of 36 months, added the Chief Secretary.

Of the total 351 housing units, 216 units will be kept for middle income group (MIG), 115 for lower income group (LIG) and 20 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). This part, the project will have 25 shops, sources said.
