Candidates appearing NBPT exam vandalize centre in Odisha capital

Expressing discontentment over the lack of infrastructure and proper arrangement at an examination centre conducting National Bureau of Professional Testing (NBPT) exam in the Odisha capital candidates resorted to large-scale vandalism.

Alleging improper arrangements and lack of infrastructure at the examination centre at the MBS Public School candidates vandalized furniture and resorted to arson by setting question papers on fire, reports said.

“There was no proper sitting arrangement at the examination centre. The exam was scheduled to start at 9.30 AM but we were told that it will start at 10 AM. The sorry part is even a national-level exam is not being properly conducted,” alleged examinees.

Notably, NBPT exam is conducted for assessment of skills of teachers.
