Carcass of Irrawaddy dolphin found in Odisha's Puri

Puri: An Irrawaddy dolphin was found dead near Nuapada Ghat at Chilika lake shore under Krushnaprasad block of Odisha's Puri district today.

The carcass, around 5.8 feet in size and over 500 kg in weight, was recovered by the Forest Department officials and sent for autopsy.

The reason behind the death of the dolphin is yet to be ascertained.
