Rayagada: Dacoits armed with weapons looted Rs 5.10 lakh cash and gold jewelries worth over Rs 35 lakh from five families at gun point here last night.

Over 10 dacoits barged in to five houses at Kusuma Ghat village under Kalyanpur block in the tribal district last night and looted the houses one after another by showing guns and murderous weapons to the family members.

After getting information, Kalyansinghpur police reached the spot and launched probe into the incident.
